This policy explains how Symmerai AS ("Symmerai", "we") handles personal data collected through symmerai.com, in line with the EU/EEA General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Norwegian Personal Data Act.
Who we are
Symmerai AS, a company registered in Norway, based in Ålesund, Norway. Data controller contact: hello@symmerai.com.
What we collect
When you request early access, we collect what you enter in the form:
- Email address
- Name
- Company / organisation (optional)
- Role, plus a free-text description if you select "Something else"
- Team size
- How you plan to use Symmerai
- Whether you opted in to product updates
- Limited technical data needed to serve the page and prevent abuse (e.g. IP address for rate limiting)
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To handle your early-access request — our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) in evaluating and contacting prospective users.
- To send product updates — only if you tick the optional box, on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw at any time.
- To confirm your request — a one-off transactional email, part of handling your request.
Who processes it
We use a small number of providers to run the site and store requests:
- Notion — stores your request (Notion Labs, Inc., USA)
- Resend — sends the confirmation email (Resend, Inc., USA)
- Vercel — hosts the site (Vercel, Inc., USA)
These providers are in the United States; transfers rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent safeguards. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep early-access requests for as long as needed to evaluate and onboard cohorts, and remove them when they are no longer relevant or at your request.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or erasure of your data; object to or restrict processing; withdraw marketing consent; and receive a copy of your data. Email hello@symmerai.com. You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
Analytics & cookies
We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to count visits. No tracking cookies are set and no advertising profiles are built, so no cookie banner is required.
This reflects our current practices for the early-access site and will be expanded before the product launches.
